Kokoda Memorial Track

Kokoda Memorial Walk

It’s been a really long time since I did a trip over to Mount Dandnenong to visit the Kokoda Memorial Track. So I decided to add an event on our Meetup group to see if anyone else would be interested and it turns out to be a strong and big group.

I must say that even the walk up to the 1,000 steps track provide you with the challenge as your heart rate goes up and you start breathing really heavily.

It took us about 40 minutes to reach the top of 1,000 steps for a rest and regroup. As a group we decided to return via a 5km circuit back to the car park. We stopped over at the cafe to shout ourselves with desserts and coffees.

Lovely Group

It was so amazing to meet new people who like the idea of getting out with nature and get some exercise at the same time. Really easy and open  minded people make the day more fun.

You Yangs Mountain Biking Park

The You Yangs Mountain Biking Park

I have the pleasure of exploring the You Yangs mountain biking park last Sunday the 17th of August 2016 with a couple of new friends showing me around the tracks.

A small drive from Melbourne to reach a beautiful place full of adventures and thrills for any mountain biking enthusiasts.

STOCKYARDS Mountain Biking Tracks

John came from our Meetup group who is very happy to show us around Stockyards. The first thing he took us to was at the track #9 called the Boulders and yes it is a black diamond ride…

Me and Mark pretty much shit our shorts, it was pretty tough and downhills with lots of rocks to tackle. I do enjoy the run and gave everything a go and during my second attempt it was much better and smoother.

I love the experience and my love for mountain biking has just grown so much thanks to John and Mark.
